![]() So we’re having a team meeting tomorrow in the afternoon specifically about this project. Glass – ability to erase is like melamine and the marker will be very blurry due to light refraction, not suitable for the design we’re going for Shower boards (hardboard) – definitely not something we will use, melamine is good enough for daycare use, but not business use Its ability to erase will last about 2 to 3 years, less if you use cleaners. Porcelain steel – what we are using in the office right now, erases after leaving work on for months without any cleaners. Writeypaint – bubbles underneath, and very poor reviews on its ability to erase, kinda like its paint by the sounds of itĭry erase vinyl – comes in 4ft strips, stays on the wall and moderate ability to eraseīoards like the stickers, there will be a crease where the boards join, doesn’t really work for the continuous whiteboard we need right now ![]() Postit – corners fall off and then peels itself off the wall, and poor reviews on its ability to erase General poor to moderate ability to erase, probably more suitable for very light usage as oppose to the heavy usage required. Wallpapers and stickers the crease between strips of the sticker will stain over time and likely won’t work very well for our office. SherwinWilliam – too new to tell, couldn’t find user reviews Writeypaint – review same as the others, is this all the same shit as ideapaint, rustoleum, remarkable? I guess it’s hard for someone to have used all of them, they would have blown their brains… and their wallets. Remarkable – really polarizing reviews, and I think most of their positive comments are bs anyways, they seem WAY too biased I wonder if it’s the same thingĭrawitpaint – couldn’t find many reviews, commercial grade product so comes in larger units Rustoleum – the original product we went with, again installed professionally, bumpy, does not erase and looks exactly like ideapaint. Ideapaint – currently on the wall, installed professionally, bumpy and its ability to erase is just as bad as a very very cheap whiteboard Good news is, there are some new brands in the market that say they’re better. They all say they’re different, but actual user experiences gives me the feel that it’s all made in chicom crap. Paints - seems like the way to go for a continuous, creaseless that can be as big as… infinity… but the quality is not there. THANK YOU!!īelow are the suggested dry erase paint, wallpaper, sticker, board options from the community here, there’s no way a single person can obtain such information or experience. Drawit dry erase paint update#I'll update this down the line if I remember.I want to thank everyone that have help on and off the previous post. Won't be permanent but it's a fine quick 'fix'. ![]() It's taped to stay up right now but I'm probably going to put some thumb tacks on. ), great writing surface, terrible adhesive. ![]() Initial thoughts on the sticker ( it's this one. I'm going to use the sticker for the time being, if it ends up being super helpful I'll reconsider getting a big sheet of regular whiteboard or investing in the DrawIt Paint. A 4'x8' whiteboard from Home Depot would apparently have been cheaper but I didn't have a way to get it back to my place right now. For the time being I found a vinyl 'whiteboard' wall sticker on Amazon with quick delivery. Or if there are flat-out better options out there, let me know about that too!ĮDIT: Hey thanks for all the replies. ![]() People rave about it but it seems obscenely expensive so I'd like to hear some buyer experiences before considering springing for it. I have a lot of trouble organizing my thoughts and I usually end up taping note cards to walls, decided it might save me time to make one a whiteboard.įound this thread (from a couple years back) discussing various options.īuying whiteboard sheets is one option, or paint the comment about DrawIt Paint caught my eye. TL DR: Has anyone created a large whiteboard surface in their home recently? I'm looking for input. ![]()
